In 2007, his love for music transcended the nightlife scene, producing and promoting events and he proactively took up his profession as Dj more seriously. He became a pioneer in combining some of the biggest promoters in California at the time to render this feat possible. His record boasts of “Rockstar Las Vegas” events in 2006/07 at the Paris Hotel, Rio Hotel and the biggest one of 3k people inside the Stratosphere Pollyesthers nightclub with an estimated budget of 30k, celebrity hosts and over 20+Djs. One of the major highlights of his career was the initiation of “Rockstar SF”, San Francisco's largest events at the time at Roe nightclub in April 2007, generating one of the most impressive Open Format & House lineups on multiple floors with big names like Dj Vice, Dj Five, Eric Dlux, Donald Glaude, Scotty Boy, DJ Shift, Scooter/Lavelle, and many more! The same year, Playboi penetrated the SF, Las Vegas, & LA markets, syndicating the efforts of promoters across California "Rockstar" brand. To nurture his intrinsic passion for music & nightlife, in 2007, Playboi invested in his first nightclub in Modesto, Modesto Sports Bar & Grill, concurrently bagging the major achievement of teaming up with roommate at the time& partner of "LickVip”: - Kenny C., and Ted Skillet of to become the official event producers and promoters of allMyspace events for the SF Bay area, such as acquiring a Residency with DJ AM at Aura in Pleasanton for a year. This became a marked event, influencing the nightlife industry for years to come. Simultaneously, Playboi also ran the Bay Area’s Largest Tuesday night weekly with an audience exceeding 500+every week at Cuccinis downtown, San Jose, alongside other monthly events on the weekends.Ĭreating a fresh ripple in the business, he began to bring some of the nation’s most celebrated open-format Djs to the Bay Area, a brilliant move that was unheard of previously, creating the FAME party in Dec 2005.
